The Health Services department assists students with their physical and mental health needs, so they may accomplish academic success. The health services fee that all credit students pay when they enroll helps fund the operational expenses of Health Services. Most nursing, medical, and mental health services are provided without additional charges to students.

The Student Health Services providers consist of registered nurses, a consulting physician, a nurse practitioner, licensed mental health counselors, and associate mental health counselors who are trained to assist students who are experiencing physical and mental health challenges. Health Services focuses its services and programs in the following areas:

• Physical and mental health assessment, intervention, and referrals as needed

• Communicable disease control

• Health education and promotional events

• Community resources listing and referral
