Food Pantry
The Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to students in need; any student who is currently enrolled at MiraCosta qualifies for the support. The support consists of either a snack, sack lunch or a gift card if they are available. Typical food pantry items consist of canned goods (pasta, vegetables, beans, tuna, soups, and fruit), granola bars, crackers, and snack-like items. The program provides short-term relief and offers referrals for additional community resources for ongoing assistance with food insecurity. The MiraCosta Food Pantry is sustained 100 percent through donations and financial support of faculty, staff, community and students. Financial contributions can be coordinated through the MiraCosta Foundation Office: 760.795.6645.
