2011-2012 Catalog Addendum
Three new A.A. degrees were approved by the Chancellor's Office and are effective for the 2011-2012 Catalog:
- Italian A.A. Degree
- Liberal Arts with Area of Emphasis in Business and Technology
- Liberal Arts with Area of Emphasis in Applied Health, Nutrition, and Kinesiology
Corrections to existing degrees and/or certificates in the 2011-2012 Catalog:
- Communication Studies A.A. Transfer Degree: COMM 220, listed under Group B, has been moved to Group C.
- Mathematics A.S. Transfer Degree: Addition of the following paragraph to the degree description.
"This degree may not be the best option for students intending to transfer outside of the locally defined CSU service area or to a university or college that is not part of the CSU system. Students should consult with a MiraCosta counselor for admission requirements specific to an intended transfer university.
The associate degree requirements are the following:
Completion of courses in the major listed below, with a “C” or “P” or better (19 units)
Completion of the CSU GE or IGETC general education pattern (37-41 units)
A minimum 2.0 GPA in all CSU transferable courses
A maximum of 60 semester (90 quarter) CSU transferable units."
